INTERNS
Our interns are essential to the success of the project. They bring an energy to the project which is indispensable and give vision and important leadership directives to what we aim towards and accomplish.
My name is Max Olson, and I am a junior at Creighton University’s Heider College of Business. I am working to earn my Master of Accounting with a
Minor in Economics. I am drawn to the Economy of Communion internship because it reflects how I want to approach my life—uniting business with community, service, and purpose.
On campus, I serve on the Heider Business Senate, am a brother of Phi Delta Theta, and a Decurion in Creighton’s Ratio Studiorum Program. Philanthropy is also a defining part of who I am. I have a deep commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer, raising funds and awareness through organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Cal’s Angels, and Sammy’s Superheroes. This mission continues to shape my perspective on how business can be used for hope and healing. Whether it be through professional opportunities, student organizations, or personal philanthropic endeavors, I love seeking new ways to bring community together through business.
At the core, I try to live by three pillars—faith, family, and fitness. They guide me daily and align with the Economy of Communion’s vision to build businesses rooted in human dignity and solidarity. These pillars are inspired by my parents Ken and Jodi, sister Ava, and the many others who support me in all I do.
I am ecstatic to join for the journey to come with the Economy of Communion Project!
Molly Starkle was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She is currently a senior at Creighton University, majoring in Journalism with a passion for visual storytelling and media production.
This is her second year working in the film industry! She is currently a Modern World Media intern, a role that has given her valuable exposure to both the creative and technical sides of production. Through this position, she has developed skills in content creation, behind the scenes management, and film production—while also learning the importance of collaboration and adaptability on set.
This past summer, Molly had the opportunity to work on her first feature film in Los Angeles, Holy Indecent, which was an exciting and challenging experience that made her fall in love with film even more. Being part of a professional set environment taught her a lot about the demands and energy of large production.
In addition to her work in film, she also runs her own freelance photography business. She specializes in portraits including graduating seniors, families, engagements, and weddings.
Whether she is operating the camera or managing behind the scenes, she is always looking to tell compelling stories. Molly is excited to keep growing as a creative and to learn from this team!
I am a junior at Creighton University majoring in graphic design with minors in studio art, Spanish, and marketing. Last year, I had the opportunity to study at the ILAC center in the Dominican Republic, an experience that impacted my belief in the power of community building and the importance of forming meaningful cross-cultural connections.
My academic and creative interests focus on using media design as means for social change. I am particularly inspired by how design can uphold values such as human dignity, solidarity, and reciprocity, principles that strongly resonate with the mission of the Economy of Communion project. I see design as a way to amplify voices that are often overlooked, creating visuals that invite people to feel seen, respected, and connected.
As an Assistant Creative Media Director Intern with the Economy of Communion project, I am eager to contribute to creative initiatives that communicate its mission and values with clarity and impact. This role is an opportunity to combine my passion for social justice with my skills in design, helping to share the stories of others through their own voices, while also learning how businesses can move beyond transactional models to promote relationships that serve the common good.

In his final two years at Creighton, Tommy hopes to make an impact on the Creighton community and continue to develop his media skills on the Economy of Communion intern team!
